Welcome
Welcome to Veterans for Sarcoma, an organization of Armed Services Veterans (and a few of our civilian
friends;) dedicated to increasing awareness of sarcoma and raising funds for research assistance.
In September 2007, I was diagnosed with an aggressive form of sarcoma called Malignant Fibrous
Histiocytoma (MFH). Until the day I was diagnosed, I had no knowledge of MFH, Sarcoma or the
impact it has on the human body. For more information on my story, click “Kirk’s Story” in the
hot buttons at the top of the Home Page.
As a result of the tremendous medical expertise and surgical care received at The M.D. Anderson
Cancer Center in Houston, TX, I am lucky to be considered a cancer survivor. I am extremely grateful
to the support provided by family, friends and medical experts throughout this ordeal – words can
never express the gratitude I feel. The purpose of this website is to offer information and resources
to others touched by this terrible disease. Please enjoy the various pages designed to provide others
information, share stories and participate in various events designed to increase awareness of the
ongoing battle against sarcoma. Through awareness and research, we will defeat this deadly disease!
Thanks for your support!
Respectfully,
Kirk J. Offel
